The community response teams were made up of a medical personnel, a teacher, and a pastor. These teams of community leaders were sent out to various neighborhoods to assess the needs of that area and hold impromptu hygiene training's.
Passing out Supplies
The supplies that were sent out included medical supplies of bleach, buckets, and face masks. Along with practical supplies of rice, beans and clean water.
We were also very happy to be able to take some supplies over to ELWA to the hospital there that was leading the fight in the Ebola effort in Liberia.
Children's Outreach
Never underestimate the value of a smile ! The singing and smiles brought by the puppet teams to some of the outlying areas while the adults were occupied with the more practical supplies of food were a much needed break in the midst of the heartache of the country at this time.
